FAQ

Q1. How does Canano Technologies make its nano-powders?
A1.
Canano
Technologies produces its nano-powders through an advanced proprietary vacuum/condensation process.

Q2. Is the nano-powders dangerous to work with or ship?
A2.
Some nano-powders are classified as a flammable solid. All of our shipments comply with the stringent requirements of governmental agencies, the common carrier and our own highest standards. Powder is shipped under inert gas and in air-tight metal containers. The material can be spark, friction and shock sensitive so customers should take all necessary precautions and use locally approved procedures for handling nano-powders (For shipping information please contact Monique Glasius).

Q3. What are some of the applications for Canano Technologies nano-powders?
A3.
Canano Technologies nano-powder
s can be used for rocket propellants,  airbag gas generators, additives for plastics, solar cells, lubricants, cutting tools, inkjet printing, paint and powder metallurgy.

Q4. How is the particle size and oxide shell thickness measured?
A4.
Particle size and oxide shell thickness are calculated by combining surface area measurements (by gas adsorption) , thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) Scanning electron microscope (SEM) or Tune
lling electron microscope (TEM).

Q5. What is the typical oxide thickness?
A5.
Typical oxide thickness ranges from 2.0 - 2.5 nanometers. Thicker oxides are available upon request. Thinner oxides make the powder very sensitive to shock, friction and exposure to air and water, though Canano Technologies can supply particles with less than a 2.0 nm shell to qualified customers.

Q6. How much powder is available?
A6.
As much as you need. Canano Technologies is currently expanding our production capabilities to meet customer demand. We will continue to grow production as required.

Q7. What nanopowder constitutes the bulk of Canano Technologies production?
A7.
Most production is focused on the manufacture of 40-60 nanometer powder
.

Q8. Can I get help developing my applications?
A8.
Yes, we have a highly regarded expertise in nano-powder formulations.
